[ The video Kirei gets isn't a frontal view, or really very enticing - white wings are in the picture, but they aren't the focus. A small, pale back is. Said back is littered with scars, most of them looking to still be painful; they're clearly whip marks in the way they curve and crisscross, layers of scars interlacing together, some of the skin raised and dark red in color. Near those familiar wings are two other batches of scars - smaller, but deeper, and they seem to be slowly fading in contrast with the ones on his back proper. Most of the smaller scars are clustered at the base of his wings, as if someone had tried to pry the bones of his wing away from his spine.

A few bruises litter his back, but they're near his shoulders and lower back, like maybe someone held onto him too tightly. Aspen's voice is measured and cool, almost detached; ]

This is... the 9th log. No signs of lightening on my back yet, but at least the ones under my wings are getting lighter... I'll switch to a different product next week.
